A 0.91-acre lot off Killian Road near Interstate 77 in northeast Columbia has been sold to the owner of a Midlands-based body shop.

Gus Mallios, president of Summit Collision Centers, is listed as the buyer of 110 Killian Commons Parkway, according to Newmark Grubb Wilson Kibler, a Columbia-based commercial real estate firm.

“It is great to see local businesses expanding,” said Wilson Kibler’s George McCutcheon, who represented Mallios in the transaction. “This is another success story for someone who has worked hard and built up very nice auto repair shops.”

The sales price was not announced.

The seller was Killian Holdings LLC, which acquired the property in November 2006. The Richland County Assessor’s website lists the taxable value of the property, which is zoned light industrial, at $455,900.

The area of Killian and I-77 has developed into an automotive corridor as a number of large dealerships have opened stores near the interchange.
