EDTS Founder and CEO Charles Johnson is eyeing Charleston, Macon, Ga., and Savannah, Ga., for the firm’s potential next expansions.

“We’re looking to be a major player in the Southeast, maybe expanding as far up as Nashville,” Johnson said. “We’re always looking for mergers and acquisition opportunities and ways to work with IT groups to be their back-end support.”

The company has locations at its headquarters and operations center in Augusta, Ga., as well as in Greenville at the Next Innovation Center and in Columbia.

The technology consulting firm provides networking, security and managed IT services for businesses.

EDTS is seeing significant growth with its security management line, which offers monitoring services 24/7, enabling an instant response rather than just reporting a security breach. It’s also seeing a major boost from its cloud offerings, Johnson said.

The firm serves a variety of industries, with the majority of its clients stemming from health care, manufacturing and professional services.
