Online labor demand in South Carolina rose by 500 jobs in November, according to the Conference Board Help Wanted Online Data Series released Monday.
The number of online job listings climbed 0.5% to 56,400 in November compared with October’s total of 55,900. In a year-over-year comparison, the number of job listings for November jumped 11.9% from 50,400 for the same month in 2011.
New ad listings rose by 700 between November and October, and was up 3,000 compared with November 2011, the conference board added.
Overall, online labor demand in the South rose by 15,000 positions in November. As far as neighboring states, North Carolina rose by 5,500 listings or 19.9%, while Georgia added 2,300 listings or 14%.
