Exopack invested $6.5 million to develop what it calls a manufacturing Center of Excellence for its pet food business in Spartanburg.

The facility integrated operations of Exopack’s shuttered plant in Seymour, Ind. It’s unclear how many jobs were added as a result of the consolidation of those operations into Spartanburg.

The investment provides Exopack’s Spartanburg facility with increased printing and converting capacity and broadens its substrate diversity, the company said in a news release.

Based in Spartanburg, Exopack operates 19 production facilities across North America, the United Kingdom, Lebanon and China. The company develops flexible packaging and coatings for various consumer and industrial end-use markets.
