Online labor demand in South Carolina fell by 2,100 jobs in October, according to statistics compiled by The Conference Board Help Wanted Online.
The organization, which tracks online job advertising, reported that the number of online ads fell to 55,900 in October compared with 58,000 in September.
Total online ads for South Carolina climbed 10.3% from 50,700 reported in October 2011, according to board statistics.
Across the South, online help wanted ads fell by 26,300 in October. North Carolina saw a drop of 1,800 ads while Georgia posted the only October gain for the South with an increase of 1,700.
