The 33rd annual Thanksgiving “Souper” benefiting the Women’s Shelter will be held Nov. 15 at two Midlands locations.
The event, sponsored by Chick-fil-A, will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Eastminister Presbyterian Church, 3200 Trenholm Road, Columbia; and New Kirk Presbyterian Church, 491 Langford Road, Blythewood.
A meal of soup and crackers will be served. The event is an opportunity for participants to reflect on the issues of hunger and homelessness a week before Thanksgiving, according to a news release.
Tickets cost $2 per person. For $150, guests may sponsor a table that honors a woman in their life — wife, mother, daughter, mother-in-law, friend, mentor or role model.
