Churchill Mortgage announced today it has opened an office in Greenwood.

The new branch at 213 Hampton Ave. is Churchill’s third location in South Carolina. The company also has branches in Anderson and Charleston.

Lynn Kelley, a 17-year veteran of real estate and lending, will be the branch manager at Greenwood.

The company is adding branches to keep up with loan demand as the residential real estate market in South Carolina improves, said Mike Hardwick, president of Churchill.

“According to the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, the number of licensed real estate agents increased in 2012 from last year — a good indication that the state’s housing market is on the way to recovery,” Hardwick said.
