Delta Dental announced Spann Laffitte of Columbia has joined the dental benefits company as vice president of sales and account management for the South Carolina market.

Laffitte has more than 12 years of industry experience in product strategy and design, network development and sales leadership. He has served as an employee benefits wholesaler for Assurant and MetLife, and, most recently, served as the dental product development manager for BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.

Laffitte earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina.

Rob Goren, chief actuary and vice president of market development in South Carolina, said Laffitte’s experience and local roots will enhance Delta Dental’s presence in the state and further the reach of the company.

Delta Dental of South Carolina is a trade name of Delta Dental of Missouri.
