BB&T promoted Brad Cantey to banking officer.

Cantey, who joined the Winston-Salem, N.C.-based bank in 2007, is now the financial center leader at BB&T’s Dutch Square location in Columbia.

The Columbia native earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from Wingate University in 2006.

According to the most recently reported FDIC rankings, BB&T had the No. 3 banking market share measured by deposits in South Carolina, with 9.8% of the statewide market and $6.6 billion in deposits. BB&T has 115 offices in South Carolina.
