Dick's Sporting Goods, a Pittsburgh-based sporting goods retailer, is opening a new store today at 10204-A Two Notch Road in northeast Richland County.
The new Midlands location, in the busy and growing shopping area around the Target Center, will be the retailer's 10th store in South Carolina. It has 491 stores nationwide.
The retailer will have extended store hours this weekend, open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. sells a range of sporting goods equipment, apparel and footwear. The company also owns and operates Golf Galaxy LLC, a golf specialty retailer.
