Colonial Life names five new managers

Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. named five people to new management roles in the company’s business operations area.

Mike Glover has been named vice president of customer experience. He is responsible for Colonial Life’s overall customer service delivery to key customer groups including policyholders, plan administrators, sales representatives and brokers. Glover joined Colonial Life in 1986 and most recently served as vice president of the company’s claims and policyholder services areas.

Deb Rasmussen has been named vice president of claims. Most recently, Rasmussen served as vice president of the company’s account services and strategic projects areas. She first joined Colonial Life in 1991 as an assistant vice president in operations. She then spent 10 years with Fiserv Insurance Solutions in executive management before returning to Colonial Life in 2007.

Doug Smith joins Colonial Life as vice president of account services. He will be responsible for all areas in the home office that provide direct service to policyholders, plan administrators, sales representatives and brokers. Smith’s experience includes leadership roles with TD Bank and Unum, most recently serving as vice president of Unum’s group administration area and global business owner. He also has experience in sales, contact centers and marketing.

Jacqueline Vose has been named vice president of Colonial’s contact center. She will be responsible for managing the company’s policyholder services functions. Vose joins Colonial Life from TD Bank where she directed customer experience. She has experience in marketing, advertising, sales and technology for financial services organizations.

Steve Hesler has been named assistant vice president of Colonial Life’s project management office. He will be responsible for planning and implementing the company’s strategic initiatives and working with business partners across the company. Hesler joins Colonial Life from Online Health, a subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, where he gained experience in sales and market operations, financial planning, data modeling and information management.
