SCANA Corp. veteran Marty Phalen has been named senior vice president of administration for the Cayce-based energy provider.

"We’re facing a future of rapid change that can impact our organization on many fronts,” said SCANA CEO Kevin Marsh. “Our human resources and strategic planning efforts play a critical role in that future. With Marty’s proven experience in these areas, he’s positioned well to lead our efforts."
Phalen, a 24-year veteran with SCANA, has served as vice president of human resources, vice president of operations, and most recently as vice president of natural gas operations for SCE&G.
A graduate of the College of Charleston, Phalen joined SCANA in 1988. He is a retired lieutenant colonel of the S.C. Army National Guard, and has served on the boards of a number of Midlands charities including the American Red Cross and Children's Trust of South Carolina.
