The 2011 rankings for the Best Places to Work in South Carolina were released during an awards banquet Tuesday night.
Financial advising company Edward Jones, which has locations across South Carolina, has been named the best place to work among the largest employers in the state. Elliot Davis and Life Cycle Engineering rounded out the top three, respectively.
Sparc LLC, a Charleston-based systems integration company, has been named the best place to work in South Carolina for small and midsize employers. Sparc was followed by SynTerra Corp. and VC3 Inc. in the category.
“South Carolina is home to some of the best places to work in the nation. Congratulations to these innovative companies that are setting the example as superb organizations for our state’s workforce to prosper,” said Otis Rawl, president and CEO of the S.C. Chamber of Commerce.
Best Places to Work in South Carolina is presented by the S.C. Chamber of Commerce and S.C. Business Publications, which publishes SCBIZ magazine, GSA Business in the Upstate, the Columbia Regional Business Report in the Midlands and the Charleston Regional Business Journal in the Lowcountry.
Best Places to Work is dedicated to identifying and recognizing the state’s most innovative and top-notch employers.
