Bob Coble elected chair of Columbia World Affairs Council

Nexsen Pruet partner Bob Coble has been elected chair of the Columbia World Affairs Council. The vote came at the group’s annual meeting on Jan. 18.

Fred Monk founded the council and is past chair. He said Coble has been playing a significant role with the council for some time.

“During his tenure as mayor of Columbia, Bob Coble played a lead role in establishing the City of Columbia’s Sister City Program with Kaiserslautern, Germany; Cluj-Napoca, Romania; Plovdiv, Bulgaria; and Yibin, China,” Monk said.

Coble co-chairs Nexsen Pruet’s Public Policy and Governmental Affairs Group. His law practice is focused on the areas of governmental representation at the federal, state and local levels, economic development and health care.
