Attorney Steven J. Pugh has been named managing shareholder of Richardson, Plowden & Robinson P.A., law firm.
Pugh has 20 years experience as a trial lawyer, focusing his practice on the defense of product liability claims, toxic torts, commercial disputes and transportation cases.
As Richardson Plowden's managing shareholder, Pugh is responsible for leading the firm's executive committee, executing its client retention and growth strategies, and providing managerial oversight for internal operations of offices in Columbia and Myrtle Beach. He also will maintain his active litigation practice.
Pugh succeeds Francis M. Mack, who has served as Richardson Plowden’s managing shareholder for the last five years. Mack is continuing his law practice with the firm’s Columbia office.
Pugh joined Richardson Plowden in 1998 after eight years with Matthews & Branscomb in San Antonio. A native of South Carolina, Pugh graduated from The Citadel in 1987 and earned his juris doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1990.
Pugh is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. He is on the board of The Harmonie Group, a national, invitation-only organization of legal firms of outstanding quality.
