First Citizens promoted Barry Myers to senior vice president and wealth advisor. In his new role, Myers is responsible for providing financial planning and money management advice and services to high-net-worth clients, and for developing retirement plans for businesses.

Prior to serving as wealth advisor, Barry served as vice president of retirement plan sales at First Citizens. Before joining First Citizens in 2003, Myers was the director of sales for the Principal Financial Group.

Myers has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree from the University of Iowa.
